Ministries: Adoption
A resource ministry helping to connect children to families by encouraging adoption and foster care.
The Challenge of Orphaned Children
Millions of children around the world are waiting, right now, for a Forever Family. When we look at the numbers, they can be overwhelming. But, like the little boy who threw one starfish back into the ocean, he looked at his grandfather and said, "At least I saved that one." None of us can help all of the children, but we can make a difference in the life of a few.
The numbers of orphans in the world are staggering:
- 5.5 Million in Africa
- 3.5 Million in Asia
- 1.5 Million in Eastern Europe
- 135,000 waiting to be adopted in the United States Foster System
The Command of the Heavenly Father
"Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let the world corrupt us." James 1:27 NLT
It is sometimes easy for us to forget about those who are unable to help themselves. But God's Word is very clear. We are to care for the orphans.
